The Socio-Educational Tour organized for the students of BBA and BBM 5th Semester at Pokhara, Kalabang from 23rd to 26th March, 2026. was an enriching learning experience that blended education, culture, research, and real-life exposure beyond the classroom. The tour aimed to provide students with practical knowledge, field research experience, and an opportunity to understand rural lifestyle, local economy, and socio-cultural practices.
During the visit, students stayed at local homestays in Kalabang village, where they experienced the authentic culture, food, traditions, and daily lifestyle of the local community. Living closely with the host families helped students understand the value of community living, cultural preservation, and rural tourism in Nepal. The homestay experience also allowed students to build meaningful connections with the locals and learn directly from their real-life experiences.
As part of the socio-educational study, students conducted field surveys and interviews with the local residents. They interacted with villagers to understand their daily life, occupations, economic activities, challenges, and struggles they face in rural areas. Students gathered valuable primary data related to education, employment, agriculture, tourism, migration, and living standards, which helped them connect theoretical classroom knowledge with practical field realities.
After completing their field research, the students prepared research reports and presentations based on their findings. The presentation program was organized in the presence of respected dignitaries and faculty members. The students presented their research findings, observations, and recommendations confidently and professionally. Their presentations reflected their analytical skills, research capability, teamwork, and communication skills.
The program also included an award distribution session where outstanding research presentations and field studies were recognized and awarded. The awards encouraged students to actively participate in research-based learning and fieldwork activities.
