D.A.V. College successfully organized a Resume Writing Workshop for students of BBA/ BBM (8th Semester) and BBS (4th Year) with the objective of strengthening students’ career readiness and enhancing their employability skills. The workshop was designed to equip management students with the essential knowledge and practical guidance required to prepare professional, effective, and industry-oriented resumes suitable for internships, job placements, and higher studies.
The session focused on the importance of resumes as a student’s first professional impression, emphasizing clarity, structure, content relevance, and presentation. Key areas covered during the workshop included resume formatting, organizing academic and professional information, highlighting skills and achievements, tailoring resumes for specific job roles, and avoiding common mistakes frequently made by fresh graduates.
Through interactive discussions and practical examples, students gained valuable insights into how to present their qualifications, experiences, and competencies confidently and strategically. The workshop also encouraged students to understand current industry expectations and align their resumes with the evolving demands of the job market. As a result, participants developed a clearer understanding of how to transform their academic learning and extracurricular involvement into strong career narratives.
