Published on 2026-01-20
DAV College successfully organized an Industrial Visit Orientation to Pokhara for the BBA 1st Semester (23rd Batch) students, with the objective of providing practical exposure, experiential learning, and holistic development beyond the classroom.
As a major highlight of the trip, the students had the opportunity to visit Sujal Dairy Nepal, one of the country's renowned dairy companies. The visit offered students a first-hand experience of how an industry operates in real life. They observed various aspects of industrial functioning, including production processes, quality control, management practices, and operational efficiency. The interaction helped Students Bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical business operations.
Along with industrial exposure, the trip also included educational and recreational site visits to Shanti Stupa, Pumdikot, Davi’s Fall, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, as well as a short hike on the hillside of Phewa Lake. These visits provided students with moments of reflection, cultural awareness, and bonding with peers. The experience allowed students to create lifelong memories with friends while enhancing their overall learning journey.
Following the trip, students were assigned to groups to conduct a field survey among street vendors of Pokhara city. The students interviewed vendors to understand their daily work life, challenges, earnings, motivation, and survival strategies. This activity helped students develop communication skills, analytical thinking, and a deeper understanding of grassroots entrepreneurship. The findings and insights from the survey were later presented through chart-paper presentations to respected figures at DAV College. The presentations showcased students’ research abilities, teamwork, and confidence. To encourage and appreciate excellence, some groups and individuals were awarded with novels for their outstanding performance and presentations.
The Industrial Visit to Pokhara proved to be fun, unforgettable, and productive. It successfully combined academic learning, industrial exposure, field research, and personal growth. DAV College continues to emphasize experiential learning and looks forward to organizing more such meaningful and impactful educational trips in the future.
