DAV College successfully organized an insightful guest session on “Research Paper Writing and Publication in High-Quality Journals,” aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of academic research, scholarly writing, and the publication process.
The session was led by Prof. Dr. Harjit Singh, Professor of Finance at Symbiosis International University, Pune, India, and a distinguished academician with over two decades of experience in Teaching, Research, and Consultancy.
A Gold Medallist and triple postgraduate, Dr. Singh has an impressive academic and research profile, with his research publications appearing in leading international publishing houses including Emerald, Taylor & Francis, Elsevier, and Springer, with publications indexed in renowned databases such as ABDC and Scopus. He has also conducted numerous workshops, seminars, Management Development Programmes (MDPs), and Faculty Development Programmes in India and abroad.
During the session, Dr. Singh shared valuable insights into the fundamentals of research paper writing, research methodology, selecting appropriate journals, publication standards, and strategies for publishing in high-quality and internationally recognized journals. His practical experiences and academic expertise provided students with a clearer understanding of how to approach research and develop quality scholarly work.
The session was attended by students from BBA 8th Semester, BBA 6th Semester, BBM 4th Semester, and BBS 4th Year, who actively participated in the session and gained valuable perspectives on academic research and publication.
The session served as a valuable academic platform for encouraging students to develop research skills, think critically, and explore opportunities to contribute to the field of knowledge through quality research and publication.
