Capacity Development Training Program–2026

DAV College successfully organized the Capacity Development Training Program–2026 from 8th to 10th June 2026 under the theme “Enhancing Institutional Excellence: An Integrated Training on Pedagogy, Professionalism, and Case-based Teaching.” The three-day training program was proudly supported by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, Nepal.
The program was designed to strengthen institutional excellence by enhancing the professional competencies of both teaching and non-teaching staff, in alignment with the evolving demands of higher education and industry. Through various specialized training tracks, the initiative aimed to improve pedagogical practices, administrative professionalism, service quality, and case-based teaching methodologies while fostering a culture of continuous professional development within the institution.
The opening ceremony was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including the Chairman of DAV College, Shree Anil Kedia; Prof. Dr. Manoj Kumar Chaudhary; Dr. Devaraj Acharya, resource persons; academic heads; coordinators; faculty members; and administrative staff. The first track of the training focused on Advanced Pedagogical Skills for Session Plan Preparation and Implementation for teaching faculty. The session was facilitated by Dr. Devaraj Acharya, Assistant Professor at CERID, Tribhuvan University, who shared valuable insights on learner-centered pedagogy, instructional planning, effective classroom engagement, and assessment practices.
The second track, designed for non-teaching staff, focused on enhancing professional etiquette and Administrative Efficiency. The sessions were conducted by renowned professionals Mr. Bhuban Raj Joshi and Mr. Bhuwan Raj Chataut, who emphasized workplace professionalism, communication skills, customer service excellence, teamwork, ethical work practices, and organizational effectiveness.
The final track focused on Skills Development in Case Writing and Case-based Teaching Methodology for teaching faculty and was facilitated by Prof. Dr. Manoj Kumar Chaudhary. The session highlighted experiential learning, analytical teaching approaches, and the importance of integrating real-world business scenarios into classroom learning through effective case writing and case analysis techniques.
The program concluded successfully with a certificate distribution ceremony recognizing the active participation and dedication of the attendees throughout the three-day training. DAV College expressed sincere gratitude to all the resource persons, participants, organizers, and UGC Nepal for their valuable support and contribution towards making the program meaningful and impactful. The Capacity Development Training Program–2026 is another significant initiative by DAV College to promote academic excellence, professional growth, and institutional development in higher education.
