D.A.V. College successfully completed its Annual Sports Meet from Magh 27 to Falgun 1, 2026, marking a week of vibrant athletic competition, camaraderie, and spirited participation from students across all programs. The event was an exhilarating celebration of physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship, contributing significantly to the holistic development of students beyond the academic sphere.
The weeklong Sports Meet featured a wide array of events, including track and field competitions, team sports, individual performance challenges, and fun recreational activities that encouraged broad participation from students of diverse interests and abilities. The infrastructure, organization, and enthusiastic audience support created an electrifying environment that energized competitors and spectators alike.
We were honored to welcome Mekhraj KC, renowned football coach and respected figure in Nepali sports, as the Chief Guest for the opening ceremony. His presence added a distinguished touch to the event and inspired students with his insights on discipline, perseverance, and the value of sports in shaping character and leadership.
Throughout the Sports Meet, students demonstrated remarkable dedication, resilience, and competitive spirit. The event was a platform for showcasing talent, building confidence, and fostering friendships across departments. Participants not only competed for honors but also learned essential life skills such as fair play, strategic thinking, and collective effort.
The organizing committee, student volunteers, faculty members, and administrative staff worked tirelessly to ensure that the Sports Meet was executed successfully and safely.
